Trail conditions:
Trails are not maintained by park staff in the winter. Snowshoes or ice cleats are recommended. Please exercise caution when on hiking trails, as they may be slippery with leaves and ice.
The trail(s):
Trails travel across wooded hillsides and along the Whitewater River. You may cross country ski or snowshoe anywhere in the park, but we do not groom or maintain ski trails.
Facilities:
- At the Visitor Center - generally open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Snowshoe rental is available at the park office once there are 6 or more inches of snow on the ground.
- Winter camping is available, contact park for details.

There are various places to access the trails. From Elba, take Highway 74 three miles south to the park entrance. Check in with the park office for different trail accesses.
