The purpose of the Division of Enforcement weekly report is to promote the activities performed by Division of Enforcement personnel in protecting Minnesota's natural resources through effective law enforcement and education. Information is gathered from the Division's 18 districts as well as various subsections and compiled and edited by the Division public information officer.

Featured Update
CO Matt Loftness (Marshall) worked pheasant, waterfowl, and archery deer hunting enforcement during the week. Assistance was given to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office with a search for a missing person in a wooded area on state land. Fall fishing activity is still going on. A safety talk was also given to a group participating in a disability hunt at Camden State Park. Firearms deer hunters are reminded that the new shotgun zone law does not go into effect until 2026. Please review the hunting regulations handbook before the start of the firearms deer season.
