Safety reminders as snowmobile season gets underway

Several rounds of snow mean people in many parts of Minnesota already are getting out for those first snowmobile rides of the year. With a potentially long riding season on tap, please remember to make safety your top priority, stay on the trail to avoid trespassing and damaging private property, and ride sober.

Hunting in state parks

Know before you go: Many state parks are still hosting managed deer hunts in December and January to help control deer populations. Public access varies during these park hunts, so check the park hunts page for dates and safety information.
