New ELS launches June 9
Anglers may fish without a license from Tuesday, June 2, through Monday, June 8, during a pause in the DNR's licensing system. All other fishing season regulations and bag limits will remain in effect. The pause is part of the DNR's switch to a new electronic licensing system.

Stay safe on the water
With the recreational boating season upon us, anyone who hits the water should prioritize safety. That means wearing a life jacket and engine cut-off lanyard, checking all safety equipment, and leaving alcohol on shore. And before heading out, make sure you know if you’re required to have a watercraft operator’s permit.

New fishing outlooks available
Use the information in our regional fishing outlooks to get ready for the open water season. Broken down by region, area fisheries offices throughout each region provide fishing information about individual lakes in their work areas. Find out what’s happening on your lake today.
