Stay safe on the water
Minnesota’s lakes and rivers are great places to boat, fish, swim, and simply enjoy a reprieve from the heat. Whichever way you’re enjoying the water, prioritize your safety by wearing a life jacket, leaving alcohol on shore, familiarizing yourself with the area, and letting someone know where you’re going and when you plan to return.

Grants for Urban and Community Forestry
DNR is accepting applications for $1.7 million in grants to help communities plant, protect, and care for trees across the state. Open to nonprofits, local governments, Tribal nations, and schools to help address impacts of emerald ash borer.
