DNR 2025 Accomplishments
The DNR is pleased to share its annual accomplishments list. Each of the featured items helped advance our mission and the goals in our Conservation Agenda. While the list does not capture all the DNR has done this year it reflects the scope and importance of the work done throughout Minnesota.

Stay safe on the ice
Many people will head for this ice this holiday season, whether to fish, skate, snowmobile, or simply take a walk on the frozen water. It’s a great way to enjoy the winter, but please make safety your priority: Check the ice for yourself, wear ice picks and a life jacket or float coat/suit, and follow our ice thickness recommendations.

Don’t forget your ski pass!
Skiiers aged 16 and older need a Great Minnesota Ski Pass to use any of the 1,100 miles of groomed ski trails at over 90 destinations across the state. One-day, one-year and three-year pass options are available, and your ski pass fee goes directly toward grooming ski trails.

Funding for the Future
The 4 The Outdoors report shares findings from our exploration into the future of conservation and outdoor recreation in Minnesota. Read the full report and help us take action toward sustainable funding for the future.
